A recruitment poster for the U.S. Navy showing Lady Liberty (Columbia) welcoming a new sailor. Leyendecker was comissioned to do posters in WWI and WWII by the US Government. J.C. Leyendecker (1874-1951) was Dutch, but born in Germany, and moved to the US at age 8. Studied art in Chicago and because one of America's favorite illustrators. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct. Many sizes available.
