In 1943, Sgt. Maj. Gilbert “Hashmark” Johnson — so nicknamed for his many service stripes — became one of the first black drill instructors in the Marine Corps. Camp Montford Point was later renamed for him. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct. Many sizes available.
