Duluth Imperial Flour - Loaf of Bread Rises above the Minnesota skyline and the Mississippi River at Duluth carrying women in the basket. The image was used on print ads as well with the following poem attached, “As our airship proudly raises / on high we hear the praises / and our song the world amazes / By its truth, / For we sing of product cereal / Which makes our bread ethereal / And is known as flour ‘imperial’ / From Duluth.” The mill was operational from 1889 to 1905.
