Dutch advertising poster for Giso Lamps of Rotterdam, Holland. In 1926 Gispen introduced with the Giso bulbs a whole new form of lighting in the Netherlands. The Giso lamps were made of crystal glass was covered with a thin layer of opal glass. The 'Gisoglas' showed more and more pale light than conventional milk glass. This meant more luminous efficiency, economical power consumption and the prevention of glare. The Giso lamps Gispen capitalized on the electrification of the Netherlands during the twenties. The metal filament were perfected shortly after the First World War. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct. Many sizes available.
