Product Overview

To Joseph Bramah and Henry Maudslay belongs the credit of the invention of the hydraulic press. Wherever a sustained effort is required for lifting heavy loads, bending steel plates, or compressing metal, hydraulic power is almost indespensible. The huge press shown is used for consolidating steel ingots for armour plating. It is 33 feet in height and exerts a pressure of 12,000 tons. - There is a border around the image.
