Puck Library was both a political and social commentary publication that told a lot through cartoons and illustration. This cover shows women taking the lead and a man walking the dog in the background. This July 1895 publication did feature a lot of material on the suffragette movement. The art done by Samuel D Ehrhart (1862-1937); American cartoonist and illustrator born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Ehrhart received his education in the New York City school system. Subsequently, he studied art in Munich. His work appeared in Harper's Monthly (1878-79), Puck (1880, and 1888-1913), and Judge (1887). There is a border around the image. The image size is correct. Many sizes available.
