WWI poster asking American women to help the war effort by saving wheat. The original text read, "Will you help the Women of France? Save Wheat. They are struggling against starvation and trying to feed not only themselves and children- their husbands and sons who are fighting in the trenches." Edward Penfield (1866-1925) was prolific illustrator for many American publications like Harpers, Scribner's, Colliers, and Saturday Evening Post. There is a border around the image. The image size is correct. Many sizes available.
